Story
I'm Jane Durham and I thought that my long distance cycling days were over, but thanks to the grace of God, healing and a battery I have discovered the joy of electric assist cycling! I'm currently training at the gym and on the road, to be ready for this summer!
I'm doing this because Keinton Church wants to be more accessible, for wheel chairs and push chairs alike, and versatile enabling us to host events and services for the community and congregation. We need at least £12000 just to reach faculty stage.
So this one vicar will cycle, 275 Somerset road kms, visiting 15 St Mary Magdalene Churches
Over five sunsets, travelling 3450 metres upwards & 3731 metres downwards
My programme is:
21 July Sparkford and Stowell (48km)
28 July Ditcheat and Upton Noble (50km)
21 August Exford, Winsford, Withiel Florey, Clatworthy and Taunton (58km)
27 August Barwick, Cricket Malherbie and Stocklinch (64km)
15 September Great Elms, Chewton Mendip and Wookey Hole (67km)
With 54 estimated cups of tea, many portions of cake/handfuls of nuts and a lot of prayer!
Please do support me, and if you'd like to see me on the road then follow the Instagram account for details of where I will be when. We're unsure how much we need to raise in total, maybe more than £50,000
