Help us be there for victims of crime this Christmas

Organised by Victim Support

Christmas can be hard for victims of crime, as many services are closed. We provide free, confidential support 24/7 (including Christmas Day) for people affected by crime and traumatic events. Please donate and help us support victims after crime.

Victim Support is an independent charity. We are dedicated to supporting people affected by crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales and we put them at the heart of our organisation. We provide specialist help and services to support people to cope and recover.

Story

For victims of crime, Christmas and New Year can be tough.

Traumatic incidents often come to mind when we've got time off. Family and relationship issues can create challenging situations. And most support services are closed.

That's why it's so important that Supportline, Victim Support's free, confidential contact service, is available to anyone who needs it - whenever they need it.

Our specially trained staff offer emotional and practical support to victims of any type of crime, from hate crime and antisocial behaviour, to domestic abuse, fraud and murder.

Sue survived rape and domestic abuse:

It's very important to be able to talk to somebody who can understand what you've been through and can support you. Just to know that there is somebody on the end of the phone when you need it, that you can phone when you are absolutely drained and don't know where to turn, and to talk to somebody about that."

We can only continue to help victims and survivors like Sue with your help.

Any amount you can give will make a real difference this Christmas.

And if you need support after a crime, please don't hesitate to contact Supportline on 08 08 16 89 111 or find out how else you can get in touch.
