The Nottingham MS Therapy Centre has been providing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to the people of Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties since 1984.

Our two seven-seat hyperbaric chambers provide 96-98% pure medical oxygen through a mask, in a chamber pressurised to 2ATA (atmospheres absolute). 2ATA represents 33' or 10m under sea level and at this pressure, the oxygen absorption approximately doubles allowing the high dose oxygen to flood the body. Oxygen helps reduce inflammation and fight infection, and it also helps cells and tissues to repair and grown. In real terms, the most frequent reported benefits are with fatigue and brain fog. As well as multiple sclerosis and a wide variety of chronic health conditions, HBOT is also widely used to help cancer patients recover after they've completed the harsh chemo and radiotherapy.

Here at our Centre, we concentrate on people's symptoms and how we can help them manage. Whether a person presents with fatigue, necrosis or broken bones, we are happy to assess their suitability for HBOT and, if suitable, arrange a recommended protocol including different pressures and number of sessions.

Many people rely on HBOT as their sole source of treatment in managing their symptoms. We have people who have been coming to us for decades as the oxygen provides them with so much relief. We've also had a rush of people with long covid as they report that HBOT is the only therapy that has helped them regain somewhere near their 'normal' life. As the majority of people coming to us are unable to work because of their chronic health conditions, we keep the cost as low as we can. Each session costs us £25 per bum on seat. If eligible, we will subsidise this cost leaving just £13 or £15 contribution towards the cost so this is where your help comes in.
