We run three community projects in Headingley which can always do with your support!
The Child Contact Centre is a safe, friendly and neutral place where children of separated parents can meet their non-resident parent or family member. The centre aims to help children whose parents have separated and where there is no reasonable alternative way for them to spend time with them. It is a child friendly environment, with toys, games, books and other facilities available. The centre is open alternate Saturday mornings in Headingley Methodist Church Hall.
Vineyard House Food Pantry opened its doors in March 23 to help those struggling to get by, they offer a weekly food shop for the small price of £4.50 a week with a large range of fresh food, toiletries, local produce and lots more to choose from.
This community project is run from Vineyard House (11 Bennett Road, Headingley) on Wednesday mornings, and is inclusive to everyone within the surrounding area. The open days are also a chance to combat loneliness, members can stop for as long as they wish for a cup of tea and a natter with one of the volunteers or other members.
The Lantern is a space where adults with multiple and complex needs can find friendship, food and faith. The Lantern is run in partnership with Cornerstone Baptist Church, in the Green House Café, Headingley.
