Story
Vinod came to the uk with his sister when he was just 7yrs old and from a young age has had a lot of responsibility caring for his family & assisting with the language barrier as he was quick to pick up the English Language. His career spanned over 30 years, working in Childcare & Hospice care as a social worker. Vinod sums up his choice of vocation in this statement, ' I like to walk beside people', a heartfelt belief that he has continued in retirement by working as a volunteer at the Weston super mare branch of Samaritans. He is such a valuable member of the team, always offering a friendly smile and listening ear. Friends and family are incredibly important to Vinod and he enjoys spending time with them as well as his love of music & films. Like many of the people that Vinod listens to at Samaritans, he has experienced difficult times but life is now good and he appreciates every moment of making memories, which is why he will be celebrating with the people most important to him in September for his special 70th Birthday!
VINOD'S MESSAGE TO YOU ALL
I am really pleased that most of you will be able to attend the celebrations. I owe all of you a great debt because I am me......because of you. I can honestly say that you have all had an impact on my life and influence on how I should be as a person.
Some people have asked about presents and I have decided against that but if you wish, you can make a donation to Weston Super Mare Samaritans. Thank you so much, Vinod XXX
