The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

British adventurer Sir David Hempleman-Adams is taking on his greatest ever challenge sailing solo across the Atlantic in support of St John Ambulance.

The record-breaking 62-year-old, who inspired the likes of Bear Grylls and Ben Fogle with his fearless expeditions, says his Voyage of Discovery #DiscoverSJA will be harder than climbing Everest.

As a trustee for St John, I am really driven to raise awareness of the valuable work the charity and its volunteers do in supporting their communities and the NHS, said Sir David.

We are inviting you to come on board and join the campaign Voyage of Discovery Fundraising Challenge and try something new.

Go on a journey of self-discovery. Choose your adventure. Run it, cycle it, swim it, trek it, jump it. Launch your expedition and fundraise for St John Ambulance

Whatever and however you do it, take on the challenge and see how far you will go to help us raise awareness and much-needed funds.

Whether it's running a marathon or hosting a 24-hour tea party, achieving your target takes determination, preparation, perseverance and a commitment to reaching your destination. Check out our SJA Events page for inspiration.
