The sponsored walk is a challenging 13-mile route covering the local area. All students take part and are aiming to raise £25,000 to help make their school a better place.

Students are responsible for choosing how the money is spent, and suggestions have included refurbishing the 6th Form and Y11 common rooms, TVs and seating for Y9, outdoor games area with equipment for Y8, equipment for Y7s in the Grand Hall and new Ipads and computer areas for all.

The last sponsored walk raised £16,500 and was used to purchase a new minibus, which many of the students have used over the last 2 years for trips, residential visits and sporting fixtures. This year the focus is on the individual year groups raising money; the more the year group raises, the more is spent on them.

Please give generously. 13 miles is a no mean feat!

When donating please indicate the tutor group and the initials of the student you are supporting. (eg 10.3 JH). This will help direct the money to the correct year group.

If you are eligible to select gift aid, please do, as this will allow the school to reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that has been donated.
