Story
We all need caring for at some point in our life. If you look after someone you love or care about, you may not consider yourself a carer. Caring is something we do as parents, partners, children, sisters, brothers and friends, often without question, or the need for a label.
It could be a 15 year old girl looking after a parent with an alcohol problem. It might be a man caring for his partner who has a terminal cancer diagnosis. Or it might be an 80 year old woman looking after her husband with Dementia. 1 in 10 of us are already an unpaid carer with 63% of carers having their own health problems.
We’re here to help them access the support they are entitled to as a carer so they can look after their own wellbeing, living a healthy, fulfilling life alongside their caring role.
