For a healthy river Trent
At Trent Rivers Trust, we're dreaming of a healthy Trent, a home to wildlife and a place to connect with our natural world.
The Trent is a lifeline. We all depend on healthy natural rivers for clean water - and for the small, joyful things that make life worthwhile.
Sadly, habitat loss and pollution mean that we're only seeing a fraction of the life possible. Over two generations, we have lost migratory species, such as the Atlantic sturgeon, in the Trent. We also celebrated victories, such as the return of the Atlantic salmon.
Having worked on solutions locally for 20 years, we know what works. We also know that we cannot do this alone - that rivers need local action, a voice and empowered communities looking after them.
That's why we're raising funds to help us advocate for the Trent and its tributaries where it matters, develop more projects that restore their health and support more communities in looking after their stretch of river.
