Jordan's Weeones needs your help! Come and join our campaign 'Walk for Weeones' and help us raise vital funds for families in need who have a child diagnosed with cancer.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, treatment usually starts immediately at one of the specialist hospitals in the UK, which can be many miles from the families home. This means a lot of travelling to hospital appointments, parking costs, food, accommodation, childcare for siblings, and increased utility bills. The financial hit can be crippling at a time when parents have had to give up work or reduce hours to care for their child. It’s been reported an average family spend an extra £600 a month when they are supporting their child in hospital.

As a charity, Jordan's Weeones support these families with emergency grants to help with these costs. To date we have issued 338 (just under £50,000) to families in need, but we need your help to raise more funds and continue to support additional families.

How it works

You can take part as an individual or part of a group. Just pick a walk that you would like to do, set up a just giving page linked to our campaign and off you go. Here are some ideas to get you started:

- Walk 10 miles in Ten days

- Walk to work

- Walk your dog 'X' number of miles

- Walk around Draycote water

- Walk a route round Bradgate Park or a local beauty spot

- Walk a coastal route

- Walk the penine way

- Take on a mountain or do the 3 peaks

The options are endless, pick what is right for you and anyone who raises over £150 will receive a free Jordan’s Weeones Angel Wings T-shirt!
