Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to confirm the return of Walk with Wakey in 2023.

Following years of success, the fundraising initiative has raised countless funds to continue the support of our community programmes, with this year being no different. For 2023, the Foundation has partnered with MY Hospitals Charity and their support of the Childrens Ward at Pinderfields Hospital, with half the funds raised going straight to the upkeep & support of the ward.

MY Hospitals Charity supports and enhances the services provided by The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which provides care to over half a million people every year in their homes, in the community and across three hospital sites.

Therefore, on Thursday 6th April 2023, the Foundation is inviting sponsors, partners and members of the Wakefield community to come together to walk from Trinitys Be Well Support Stadium to Castlefords Mend-A-Hose Jungle ahead of their box office clash on Sky Sports.

All those taking part will be encouraged to raise a minimum of £25, which will go towards the match ticket, with the remainder being split between the two organisations.

Participants will set off from our home stadium at 4pm, with a 3:30pm arrival being encouraged, before starting their 8.2-mile hike through the Northern Villages, finally touching down at approximately 7pm for the start of the game. (Dont worry, there will be stops along the way!)
