Need Doesn't Stop At the Poverty Line!
Jasmine is a nursing assistant at a Collier County senior living facility. She works full-time caring for others, but after paying rent, childcare, and gas, there’s little left for groceries or unexpected expenses. She earns above the federal poverty line, yet still can’t afford the basics.
Jasmine is ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). Like many in Collier, she plays an essential role in our community, but one medical bill or car repair could send her into crisis.
Through United Way of Collier and the Keys, Jasmine can access support for childcare, food, and financial resources that give her family stability. By joining Walk 4 ALICE, you help hardworking families like Jasmine’s not just get by, but build brighter futures.
