Walk 500 miles to help prevent breast cancer
Every 10 minutes another mother, daughter or grandmother hears the words you have breast cancer.
By taking part in our Walk 500 challenge, and walk 500 miles in 30 days from our research lab at Kings College, London to our research lab at Aberdeen University, Scotland your team can help change that.
With over 30% of breast cancercases that can be prevented, you are helping more people to reduce their risk of ever getting breast cancer. Sadly, not all breast cancer cases are preventable, women and men will get breast cancer through no fault of their own.
Making small changes to your lifestyle, such as staying active, can significantly reduce your risk of breast cancer.
As well as reducing breast cancer risk, challenges like this can help build team morale and cohesiveness, reduce staff sickness and help boost peoples well-being.
