Food for Life London has been feeding hot vegetarian meals to the homeless in Central London since 1994. We are an affiliate of the Food for Life Global charity.
Food for All provides over 5000 meals daily, 1.8 million annually supporting 5 projects in Ukraine and 12 food projects across the UK. Also, provide 1000s of meals at 35 chariot festivals across the UK. We have been serving in central London for over 28 years, . Distributing from the UK's first fully electric food distribution van, we are one of the few charities that continued to operate during the pandemic.
Our current facility in London is closed down. Food for all and food for life London are collaborating to fundraise for a permanent facility to continue serving. With the cost of living increasing and food prices soaring, high homelessness is on the rise.
Our aim is to eradicate hunger within a 10 miles radius from our kitchen.
We urgently need your help to buy a permanent place to continue serving and without your help the food distribution will stop!
It is the winter of 2022 and there has been a BIG shift in the UK economy.
The cost of living has increased, but wages have not. The winter months have now gotten colder and energy prices have soared through the roof resulting in many working class households struggling or worse, have become homeless as they are having to choose between keeping themselves warm over a hot warm meal.
We are facing the worst
7.3 million adults live in households that said they had gone without food or could not physically get it in the past month, which include 2.6 million children. This is compared with 4.7 million adults in January.
It does not have to be like this where you are unable to find a warm nourishing meal. There is a solution to this and there has been one for the last 28 years. Food For Life London is a non-profit that has been providing hot meals for 28 years. Feeding over 35,000 meals a year not only to the homeless but to anyone who may be struggling to provide themselves with a nourishing hot meal.
This includes: Homeless, low income workers, single Parents, children, students and many more who require it
The food is hot, fresh always very tasty. The people serving are also very friendly and always smiling which makes it even better -
However it is time for the NOT so good news:
The meals are about to stop !
We are now starting to provide even more meals than we were before especially with inflation, cost of living, economic down turn, climate change, countries at war, refugee crisis, and a pandemic. The volatile nature of the world is forcing those who have no income or homes to seek out assistance.
Before covid it cost £2.45 to provide a meal and now with inflation and high food cost its almost £4.
Without your help in raising funds they we will not be able to continue.

A 10-mile sponsored walk around the most iconic monuments of central London to raise funds for a permanent place. The walk will commence from our base in Soho street and progress to famous sites such as St Pauls Cathedral, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Westminster, Hyde Park and more!
