it’s our silver anniversary: the 25th Annual Walk for Dignity!

Over the years, this family-friendly community event has raised more than two million dollars to support patients, caregivers, and loved ones. The 2024 Walk for Dignity will be held on Sunday, April 28th at beautiful Willow Creek Park in Iowa City.

This year’s Walk will feature fun and meaningful activities for both adults and children:

• Our Time of Remembrance ceremony, bringing comfort and healing to anyone who has experienced loss with live music, inspiring stories, empathy, shared experience, and reading the names of remembered loved ones.

• The Memory Walk with signs featuring photos and favorite sayings of friends and family we’ve lost.

• Passport stations throughout the park with simple activities and challenges that earn fun stamps and stickers.

• A safe and easy walking course entirely contained within the park, avoiding city streets and busy intersections – perfect for families with young children, strollers, and even pets.

11am: Donation Drop-Off, Friends and Fun

12 noon: Time of Remembrance memorial service

1pm: Walk for Dignity Starts
