Take up a challenge this September

This year Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands is 25th years old! And to celebrate and help raise much needed funds we are organising a variety of walks: a Challenge Walk for those who like a long hike; Half Challenges or gentler options and a shorter Family Challenge. There will also be a Toddler Trail in Leek’s Brough Park. Most walks are linear and there are bookable transport options.

The walks have been chosen to give a sense of the size of the district covered by our scheme and of the varied landscapes – with the full Challenge Walk stretching from one side of the district to the other.

If you aren't walking but want to support those taking part please donate on this page and post a message, particularly if you are donating in support of an individual walker - We'd love to hear from you!

All proceeds will be used to help us support families with young children who are going through difficult times and to help us continue to run our well used Craft and Play groups across the district now and in the year ahead.

Route options:

Full Challenge Walk – 19.5 miles – Flash Bar to Stockton Brook

Half Challenge Walk options:

11 miles – Flash Bar to Brough Park, Leek

7.6 miles – Brough Park, Leek to Stockton Brook

Family Challenge options:

3.5 miles – Tittesworth to Brough Park, Leek

Toddler Trail in Leek Brough Park:

Gentle stroll – walking a section of the Caldon Canal towpath – a hidden gem.
