Westwood is home to 9 residents in Hastings with varying and complex needs. Westwood encourages independent living and residents are supported to run their home buy choosing and cooking their own meals, cleaning their own spaces and are encouraged to use and maintain the gardens.

The residents have recently had a new art studio installed at Westwood and they would like to improve the outside space around this by providing seating, planting, water feature and outside sensory equipment. The outside space can enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.

The residents recently decided that with the support of staff, they would like to walk the distance from John O'Groats to Lands End around the hills and parks in our town to raise money for the new outside space. Residents and staff will encourage and support each other to walk and record their miles and map their progress each week. The residents and staff aim to complete the distance by Easter Monday 1st April 2024! Each Step will bring us a little bit closer to our goal and every penny raised will go towards providing a beautiful outside space for our home. Thank You for you support!
