Story
After hiking the Pennine way 4 years ago, I’m taking on the new challenge of trekking the Manaslu Circuit in Nepal to raise funds for Jentle Childbirth to produce a film that highlights the circle of support for mothers and families.
My son Oliver, will be accompanying me on this demanding 110-mile trek that reaches altitudes of over 5,000 metres.
The goal is to raise funds to produce a new film which will explore through conversations with mothers and holistic therapists, the benefits of such support during the childbirth journey.
The film
Just as a hiker needs the right gear and guides to reach their destination, birthing parents need a diverse support network along their journey.
The aim of this film is to open up the conversation about the circle of support beyond the clinical setting, discussing ways to make the childbirth journey more comfortable and calmer, through a series of interviews with mothers and holistic practitioners.
The funds collected
This hike is being fully self funded and 100% of the money collected will go to Jentle Childbirth Foundation for the production of this film.
