CARE International is a humanitarian organisation leading the fight to end poverty in the world’s most challenging situations. Women and girls are at the centre of our work, because we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

Story

Across the world, women are leading the way. Leading the fight to end poverty. Leading the fight against climate change. Leading the way out of conflict.

But wherever women walk, they find danger. When a woman in Gaza walks to her children, she faces destruction and hunger. When a woman in Sudan walks to find water, she might come back empty handed.

With your help, we can change this. We can make sure women have the tools and support they need to lead their communities. To feel safe. To build a life. To shape a better future.

To mark International Women’s Day, join CARE International UK and walk, wheel or run a distance of your choice throughout March 2025 that reflects a journey done by thousands of women fleeing crisis and conflict worldwide.

Whether you walk 25 miles for Yasmeen in Gaza, 60 miles for Daria in Ukraine or 125 miles for Maria in Sudan, Walk In Her Shoes to raise money for women to build a better life.

This March, hundreds of us will take part, with one goal in mind: changing millions of lives at a crucial time for women across the world.
