Whole School Charity

Organised by Walthamstow Hall

As a School community we come together to support many worthwhile causes locally, nationally and internationally. Our whole school charity is currently Street Child - and by working with them we would like to raise enough funds to build a school.

The School’s charitable objects are to advance education by the provision of a preparatory and secondary day School for girls with a preference for the daughters of Protestant Christian Missionaries with facilities for boys to be admitted to the sixth form. Walthamstow Hall has educated girls since its foundation in 1838 originally as a school and home, in Walthamstow, for the daughters of missionaries. In 1882 the School moved out of London to a purpose-built Arts and Crafts building at our present site in Sevenoaks. As the School grew the Senior School became the girls’ Grammar School under the Direct Grant system. In 1992 the Junior School moved to its current site, an Edwardian building nearby. Walthamstow Hall is now a fully independent selective day School for girls aged 3 to 18 offering an enriched curriculum in a Christian setting.
