The Watford Rotary Vaccine Appeal

Help us to help countries that cannot afford the Covid 19 vaccine

Our members volunteer their time and talents to serve our local communities and help with international projects to advance goodwill and peace the world over. We are part of a worldwide organisation of 33,000 clubs who have worked over the last 30 years to eradicate the Polio virus. The Rotary Club of Watford raises funds to primarily support smaller, local charities for the benefit of the local community. Our main fundraising income comes from our Christmas appeal, but we also arrange fundraisers like quiz nights, racing nights etc. Membership is open to all.

Story

We are so lucky to live in a country where we are receiving our Covid-19 vaccinations in record time, FREE of charge and in safe, secure situations.

But of course, most of the people of the world will not be so fortunate. We're all in this together. Until the people of all Nations have been offered a vaccine we will remain at risk from this pernicious virus.

The Rotary Club of Watford has set up a fund to support the provision of Covid-19 vaccines to countries where cost is an issue. This project will support GAVI/COVAX in providing vaccines to countries where cost is an issue. Please consider making a donation of the cost of your your vaccine to help accelerate the distribution of vaccines throughout the world. Costs vary from £6-£20 for the 2 doses.
