UPDATE 18/08/2026: We now want to push for the full £9,750 cost of the new forklift.

Initially we thought that £3,000 was a big ask; however, WE DID IT! We would like to thank each and every one of you who has contributed to the Crowdfunder. It is amazing to have reached the target in the space of only two weeks. Fundraising efforts are continuing through sponsored walks and other activities; and will all be used toward the cost of purchasing the forklift truck. All further donations are most welcome and appreciated. 

The forklift truck is the lifeblood of the charity. It has served us well for 24 years but has now come to the end of it's life. So this is where you come in. We are looking to fund part of the cost of a new truck through you - our amazing supporters. 

The truck is used to bring goods in and dispatch them out on a daily basis. Sorry that we can't make it sound more exciting but it really is a vital aspect of everything we do at Watford Workshop! 

By having our own forklift truck, it also gives us to ability to train adults with disabilities in how to operate it, which leads to an industry recognised qualification and thereby, further life changing employment opportunities. 

A new truck will cost £9,750 and will serve the charity for many years to come.
