Story

WATOG One World Exchange

In partnership with FIGO, the World Association of Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WATOG) is hosting the One World Exchange in conjunction with the XXV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, taking place in Cape Town in October 2025.

OBGYN trainees selected to become a One World Exchange Fellow will come together with trainees in South Africa to learn from each other and about the latest research from global leaders, improve their education, and widen their perspectives.

As part of the exchange, trainees will participate in a three-day observership in South African hospitals and attend scientific sessions together. The culmination of the exchange will be attendance at FIGO Cape Town 2025. Such experiences will inspire them to continue growing as specialists, advocates and researchers to seek innovative answers to the issues facing women and girls’ health and rights.
