Wear Blue for Berkshire Youth 2025

Campaign by Berkshire Youth

As part of Berkshire Youth’s 85th anniversary celebrations, we’re inviting local organisations to take part in our Wear Blue for Berkshire Youth initiative, a simple and fun way to give back to the community and support children and young people.

Improving young people’s lives with role models, sport & activity, Youth Clubs & specialist street youth workers. Helping with the transition from childhood to young adulthood. Supporting young people who are often unable to access help elsewhere & who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.

Story

It is simple to get involved:

• Ask your organisation to wear something blue on the day

• Make a donation to Berkshire Youth

• Share your photos with us to help spread the word

This event ties in with local schools who will also be taking part, helping us raise awareness and vital funds at a time when young people need us more than ever.

Recent research from UK Youth has revealed that over £1 billion has been cut from youth services since 2010, with a further 70% reduction in spending across local authorities. This has left too many young people without safe spaces, trusted adults, or opportunities to thrive.

Funds raised from Wear Blue for Berkshire Youth will go directly towards providing more open access youth clubs for vulnerable children and young people across the county. These clubs offer a safe space to go and something positive to do, helping to reduce isolation and give young people the support they need to flourish.

By joining Wear Blue for Berkshire Youth, you will be standing alongside us to show young people that they matter, and that their futures are worth investing in.
