On 19th September 2025, communities across the UK will come together for Wear It Orange, a national day of celebration as part of Professional Care Workers’ Week. Organised by The Care Workers’ Charity, this vibrant and uplifting event invites individuals, schools, workplaces, and care providers to wear orange, host themed activities, and raise vital funds for care workers in need.
The aim is simple: to recognise and celebrate the dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts of care workers who support our most vulnerable every day. Orange represents warmth, energy, and care – the very qualities that define the social care workforce.
Taking part is easy. Whether it’s dressing in orange, organising a bake sale, running a team challenge, or simply donating as little as £1 each, every action makes a difference. Supporters are also encouraged to set up a JustGiving page to amplify their fundraising efforts and share their passion with friends, family, and colleagues.
Funds raised through Wear It Orange go directly towards The Care Workers’ Charity’s emergency grants programme, which provides essential financial support to care workers facing hardship.
Participants can also enter a Wear It Orange Raffle, open to everyone, for a chance to win exciting prizes while supporting a vital cause.
Wear It Orange is more than a dress-up day – it’s a nationwide show of solidarity and appreciation for the incredible people who care for others. Together, we can turn the UK orange and show care workers they are seen, valued, and supported.
