Rare is a strange word because although most conditions don’t happen often, when you add together the 10,000 rare conditions, we are currently aware of, it works out that 1 in 17 people are affected. That’s more than 114,000 people in Northern Ireland. Individually rare but collectively common!
Our ‘Wear Our Rare’ campaign, is so simple that anyone can be involved and YOU can be a huge help, boosting awareness of rare conditions across Northern Ireland. Get your odd shoes and stripey socks (tights) at the ready!
