Martin is a lifelong RAF Air Cadet adult instructor having joined as a cadet aged 13. He credits the extra-curricular training with having given him the self-discipline to run his own business until his recent retirement.

He credits the Corps with giving him a broader outlook on life, opportunities for international travel including visiting the former East Germany during the height of the Cold War.

Similarly, Victoria has been involved in Sea Cadets since the age of 14. A registered nurse she has served at sea in the merchant navy and travelled the world before returning to the UK and making her home in the South West.

Martin and Victoria met through at an Inter-Cadet service watersports competition being held at Bristol Docks and finally tie the knot on Saturday 21 September 2024 at 1pm.

Martin and Victoria are keen to expand the opportunities available to the cadets at their respective cadet units who they believe to be some of the best ambassadors for their generation anywhere in the country.
