Visit the charity's profileA triathlon is hard enough just once, let alone several times over 2 days! This page is for the weekend warriors who want to help make a difference for all those affected by blood cancer- by swimming, cycling and running continuously. Last year Bloodwise were lucky enough to raise £15,000 just from the weekend warriors alone. So, this year we think that you'll be able to smash this hence the target sitting at £20,000.
Now the event has grown to 100 triathletes, we would like to see the event not only demonstrate incredible athleticism, but also create a legacy of helping others. As seen above, we would like to set you all a team fundraising challenge of £20,000 (there is no obligation to take part in the challenge as part of your entry, it is a voluntary initiative- so we appreciate anyone and everyone who gets involved).
£20,000 may sound like a lot, but spread between the 100 Weekend Warriors equates to as little as £200 per Warrior. In return for your fantastic efforts both on and off the course, we are offering all WW a FREE race belt, high-spec t-shirt and a Bloodwise tri-suit once you reach 50% of your £20k target.
Thank you for your support and best of luck. You're truly unstoppable!
Bloodwise are the UK's leading blood cancer research charity.
Blood cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the UK. And while huge progress has been made in improving treatment since we started in 1960, it is still the third biggest cause of UK cancer deaths taking more lives each year than breast or prostate cancer.
Everything we do is focussed on improving the lives of everyone affected by blood cancer.
Research: We fund research to improve treatment and care for people living with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Support & information: We provide everyone affected by blood cancer with information they can trust, in language they can understand.
Campaign: We are the voice of the 240,000 people in the UK with blood cancer at senior levels of Government, Parliament and the NHS.
