Carmela age 10 from Dorset. Born with a rare progressive muscle-wasting condition which has led to 3 additional conditions- Ventricular Tachycardia with an inserted defibrillator, Type 1 Diabetes and Familial Partial Lipodystrophy which can cause organ failure.

Carmela goes through so much mentally and physically with the everchanging body muscles wasting and endless hospital appointments that effects seeing her friends at school and participation in sports she once was able to do, and even not able to go to theme parks due to her defibrillator and heart condition.

Despite all Carmela's health challenges, she loves to care for others and raise money to find a cure or treatment for Muscular Dystrophy and even for her children's hospice Julia's House, she receives respite care from and to date has helped raise over £400,000!

Carmela has so many sad days due to her conditions and knowing they are life-limiting, she has written a bucket list of places to stay that makes her feel happy and helps forget all about the stuff that makes her sad and in case her health takes a turn for the worse, she wants to have fun now.
