Wentworth primary school is very lucky to have a swimming pool on site but unfortunately due to the pool being over 25 years old, it’s time to replace the filtration system. This is a huge expense to the school. Every penny will really help.

The pool is vital for the children’s education along side supporting the local community. The pool also provides lesson outside of school hours for the local community. From babies first lessons to toddlers and families and aqua natal in the evenings.

Having started swimming lessons with our children at a pre school/toddler age at Wentworth we knew the excellent facilities available before selecting a school. When at school the opportunity for children to swim weekly and receive quality lessons and assessment in school time is valuable to their water safety and ongoing development. The fact this provision is on site means less disruption to a school day for attending swim lessons. We never wanted our children to fear water but equally there is a balance where they need to acknowledge the risks and the lessons we feel achieve this. The school pool facility is clearly appreciated by the community, parents and pupils alike.’
