Westival has raised over £54,000 for worthy causes in the last 7 years since it started, making it a significant event for the local community. This year, thanks to the generosity of the festival organisers Jon Snow and Brian Sworn, Patchworking Garden Project will be the sole beneficiary of these fundraising efforts.

This partnership presents a fantastic opportunity for the Patchworking Garden Project to increase awareness of our work and raise vital funds. Our volunteers will be collecting donations at the venues throughout the weekend.

Westival has blossomed into a beloved community event, bringing free live music to three of Dorking’s oldest pubs:

- The Kings Arms, built in 1405, Dorking’s oldest pub

- The Old House, dating back to the 15th century, a pub since the 1820s

- The Star, the youngest of the group, built in the 19th century

The festival is a joyful showcase for a diverse range of local musicians and bands. There are 45 acts signed up to perform over the weekend!
