We are aware lots of people this year will, like us, struggle paying their bills. We'd love to think people will feel able to stay all day with us, enjoying activities and meeting friends ..... and saving a bit on the heating.
Last year the Westway spent £8,102 on gas alone, and we know prices are rising dramatically. We also know that after a couple of years of lockdowns and people being stuck at home, this year it is more important than ever for people's wellbeing to be able to stay connected and join in with their community.
Our swimmers are: Nick & Mary from the Outreach Team, Jackie & Maria our caretakers, Becca the pressganged volunteer and Janet friend of the centre and Age UK worker ...... Claire will be shouting encouragement from poolside!
