Les Alden Foundation is the parent charity of the Worthing Food Foundation and the Vegan Foodbank. It is led and run 100% by local volunteers. Every penny we raise through our campaigns is used to support local residents through difficult times and to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Story

Worthing Food Foundation and the Worthing Vegan Foodbank are volunteer-run community foodbanks that support up to 1,000 people a month with food and other essential supplies. In 2022 we distributed the equivalent of 120,000 meals - one for every resident of Worthing - and in 2023, the impact of the cost of living crisis doubled that to 240,000 meals.

We need your help to continue to provide food and other essential supplies to everyone who needs us, and to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. A £5 donation enables us to provide essential food for one person. A £10 donation will provide essential food for a small family (3 people) and a £15 donation will provide essential food for a larger family (4-5 people).

More people than ever before are struggling to make ends meet, and the continuing high cost of food and energy mean that new families are turning to us every week. Any amount you can spare will make a difference this Christmas, and we are hugely grateful for your support.
