Story
Wild Garsdale Pike is a youth led environment project based on 200 acres in Cumbria. We work with young people across north west England aged from 13 - 25 years. They can either join our Youth Steering Group and work with the trustees to decide what changes we make to the land to improve biodiversity or they can come on a one off visit to learn about the project and help with some of our conservation work.
We work with local schools, youth groups, charities and universities, enabling young people to learn about nature, wildlife and conservation, try out different ideas, make practical changes and assess their effects.
There is plenty of time for discussion, making new friends, enjoying nature and exploring the wild.

Your donation will enable us to tell more young people about Wild Garsdale Pike. We are a relatively new charity and we are still spreading the word about our work and opportunities.
It will enable us to transport them to the site and provide waterproof clothing and outdoor equipment, making the project available to everyone

We would like to purchase more camera traps to help with our survey work. Below is an image of a short eared owl captured on one of the four cameras we have.
Camera traps cost £120 each and to cover our 200 acres of different habitats we would like six more, plus the rechargable batteries to power them.

We need a portable UV water purifier to ensure we have safe drinking water during our site visits. The fastest and most effective is the SteriPen Adventurer Opti: £90
When we're working hard outdoors it's important to keep well hydrated!
