Story

By December we need to raise money for these four exciting projects, big and small - please donate to support our work - many thanks!

Help us complete the Building of our Meeting Place and Storage Shed: £5,500

Wild Garsdale Pike is an amazing piece of land, but there are no buildings which means we have nowhere to store our equipment or for our groups of young people to meet, discuss, get dry and have a hot drink on cold, wet days. We’ve got planning permission for a 5 x 3 metre shed, the building costs have been partly met through a Farming in a Protected Landscape ( FiPL) grant, so we're looking for the last part to enable us to get building before autumn.

Watch This Space ....

We need 40 Hixon Rechargeable Batteries to run our Survey Equipment - including Audio Moths to survey birds and bats and Camera Traps to survey mammals and birds: £180

Here's a great image we caught of a short eared owl - longer lasting batteries will enable us to catch more and better images

Each December we run a 2-day Residential Site Visit for our Youth Steering Group and need this for accommodation and food: £600

It's usually wet and windy, so having a warm place to stay and dry out is appreciated!

We need a portable UV water purifier to ensure we have safe drinking water during our site visits. The fastest and most effective is the SteriPen Adventurer Opti: £90

When we're working hard outdoors it's important to keep well hydrated!
