Story

Wheatfield Church is a unique and historic Grade 1 listed church set in beautiful parkland beneath the Chilterns. Parts of it date back to the 13th Century. This is a church on the must see map for people interested in churches.

It was the first of my thousand churches and will always be a favourite. (Simon Jenkins, Englands Thousand Best Churches, 1999)

For locals it remains a vital meeting point for Sunday services in this rural community. For anyone who passes by, it is a beautiful and untouched landmark within an area that suffers from gradual urbanisation and is all the more special for it.
