Home Comforts

Organised by Wheatley Foundation

Home Comforts is a Wheatley service that provides upcycled furniture and essential household items to households in need. We take unwanted pieces of furniture, white goods and appliances, clean them and deliver them to tenants free of charge.

At Wheatley Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a chance to thrive. We support people facing tough times—poverty, poor health, and inequality—helping them build confidence, find opportunities, and create brighter futures.

Story

Making your house feel like a home can be expensive. Our Home Comforts service helps tenants who need furniture but can’t afford it.

Over the past decade, more than 26,000 items of furniture have been provided to over 7300 tenants of Wheatley Homes in Glasgow and the east and south of Scotland as well as tenants of Loretto Housing Association, all part of Wheatley Group.

Home Comforts also plays a key role in helping the environment - diverting over 149 tonnes of furniture and white goods from landfills in the last year.
