Communities Action Trust UK was registered officially in 2019 to assist in taking care of vulnerable and in need folk in Zimbabwe. It has a number of individuals in its remit who are living without the gift of mobility and dignity.
Approximately 52% of children with disabilities lack access to education despite Zimbabwe’s high overall literacy rate.
Deep-seated social and cultural beliefs sometimes lead to the exclusion of PWDs from community activities.

* Common Impairments: The most prevalent disabilities involve mobility and vision.
* Vulnerable Groups: Women and girls with disabilities face a "double burden," being at significantly higher risk for gender-based violence (GBV) and having lower employment rates—only 19.6% compared to 52.8% for their male counterparts.
