Whiskers Lifeline (Emergency Cat Fund)

Sick, injured, and abandoned cats arrive at SAA needing urgent care. Your donation provides life-saving treatment and recovery support. Follow individual journeys through this campaign page with updates, photos, and videos. Every contribution helps!

Established in the 1960s, the SAA takes in unwanted and abandoned cats and rabbits. All the animals are micro-chipped, neutered and vaccinated, and the SAA never puts a healthy animal down. The animals are given food, shelter and veterinary care, until loving new homes are found.

Story

Why?

Every so often, extremely sick and injured cats arrive at the Society for Abandoned Animals (SAA) in desperate need of medical care. The costs for their treatment can reach thousands of pounds, putting immense pressure on our financial resources.

But no matter the cost, their health is our top priority—and this is where we need your help.

Your support helps provide the urgent veterinary treatment, pain relief, and long-term care these cats need to recover and find loving homes.

Last year, we faced a heart-breaking weekend when six kittens were rushed to the vets, with four needing intensive care. Thanks to incredible supporters, they received the treatment they needed. You can read more about the sick kittens on our just giving profile. But, going forward, we’ll be sharing all urgent cases right here on Whisker Lifelines, so you can follow their journeys and see the impact of your support in real time.
