Whiteley Woods Outdoor Activity Centre is set on the edge of Sheffield and offers a safe, welcoming space for thousands of young people throughoutthe year.

We need your support to maintain and improve our site so we can continue to provide awesome adventures for young people in the future. Our main Grade II listed building needs a new roof; 300 hundred years and wood worm have finally taken their toll. This will be a major undertaking costing around £300,000. Since launching our Fundraising campaign we have raised over £33,000. This is an amazing achievement! But our fundraising journey is not over and we still need your support. Please keep donating.

Travelling from South Yorkshire and beyond, young people from Girlguiding, Scouts, schools and community groups come to camp or stay in one of our residential buildings and take part in many activities such as kayaking, archery, crate stacking and to try ourpurpose build adventure course. The Centre inspires them to develop their skills and discover their talents with a group of readymade friends in beautiful, natural surroundings. Visiting Whiteley Woods allows young people from all backgrounds, often those from disadvantaged areas, to experience fun and adventure out of doors; something they may just not get the chance to do.

Comprising the grounds, stables and other buildings from the now demolished Whiteley Wood Hall, the centre has been owned by Girlguiding Sheffield since the 1930s. The stables and cottages date back 300 years and are Grade II listed; the roof now needs major work to preserve it.
