Story
The West Ham United Foundation team are taking on the London Marathon in 2026, running 26.2 miles through the heart of London while raising vital funds for the Club’s award-winning charity.
This year, three members of the first-team environment at Rush Green Training Ground - the Men’s Team training base - are stepping up to the start line to give back to the community that supports the Club every day.
With The Foundry now open, the Foundation has created an incredible new home for community programmes. But with rising and increasingly complex challenges facing communities across East London, continued support is crucial.
Every mile our runners complete and every donation received will help the Foundation continue delivering life-changing programmes that support young people, families and vulnerable communities.
Meet Our Hammers’ Heroes
⚒️Charlie Radmore – Head of Performance Analysis⚒️
Charlie has been part of West Ham United FC since joining as an intern in 2011 and now leads the Club’s Performance Analysis department. Despite once saying “never again” after two half-marathons, he’s taking on his first London Marathon (with only seven weeks to train!) to raise funds for the West Ham United Foundation - a cause close to home having grown up in East London and now raising his little boy there.
⚒️George Stannard – Player Care Manager⚒️
George has worked at West Ham United FC for five years as Player Care Manager and is a lifelong West Ham supporter. After completing a couple of half-marathons around Stratford and Hackney Wick, he’s now taking on his first London Marathon to raise funds for the West Ham United Foundation, having seen first-hand the impact of its work across East London.
⚒️Joe Evans – Goalkeeping Analyst⚒️
Joe is the Men’s First-Team Goalkeeper Analyst at West Ham United FC and a 26-year-old Londoner who enjoys travelling and sport. He’s taking on his first London Marathon to raise funds for the West Ham United Foundation, inspired by the impact its work - including the opening of The Foundry - has on the local community.
