The word "widow" often makes us think of an older lady seeing out her twilight year in loneliness and poverty.
That might be true, but we are also working with hundreds of widows who are much younger (in their 20s and 30s) and have young children.
They became widows as a result of their husbands' dying of AIDS and they too have contracted the deadly disease which will kill them without treatment.
The 500 widows we work with need AIDS medicine and the food to enable them to take the medicine. We are only able to support 150 fully at present and even that is a struggle every month.
It costs £20 per month per widow. EVERY month.
Could you consider giving monthly so that we can cover these costs and extend our support to more widows
Every widow that stays alive, means that their children will not become orphans with all the trauma that follows.
