Thousands across Northamptonshire are facing impossible choices — heating or eating, rent or food, debt or dignity.
Walk 7500 steps a day in August.
Wilson Browne Solicitors are backing Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Poverty Hurts appeal with a Summer Steps Challenge. Walking a loop of our offices totals 113 miles — on average, 7500 steps a day in August — an achievable, healthy target.
First 100 sign-ups get a free Wilson Browne water bottle. Enjoy weekly prizes and a grand prize for the top walker. All we ask is a £30 donation — less than £1 a day for a great cause.

About Poverty Hurts
The cost-of-living crisis is deepening in 2025. Local charities are stretched to their limits, helping people in real distress. But they can’t do it alone and your support can be a lifeline.
Every donation to the #PovertyHurts appeal goes directly to grassroots groups across Northamptonshire, delivering:
Emergency food and fuel
Debt advice and crisis support
Mental health services
Help for the elderly and disabled
Community transport and digital access
Housing support and homelessness prevention
Rachel McGrath, CEO of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, says:
We believe in the power of community. No one should face a crisis alone. We’ve stood together through the pandemic and the early cost-of-living crisis. Now we must dig deep again.
Be part of something powerful. Help us support those who need it most.
