The Win Sabapathy Foundation for Kidney Research has been set up in memory of Win Sabapathy (1947-2017).
Win was a patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she had a successful and long-lasting kidney transplant in 1993.
Over many years through both dialysis and after her transplant she benefited enormously from the care and attention of Dr Graham Lipkin and many other doctors and nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The Win Sabapathy Foundation for Kidney Research funds world class research into fighting kidney disease, improving kidney transplants and encouraging more people to join the organ donor register or support family and friends through live organ donation.
The Foundation has a particular focus on supporting kidney patients in disadvantaged communities.
