Winter Emergency Appeal

As we wrap up warm, turn up the heating and enjoy warm meals in our cosy homes, millions of displaced, crisis hit & poverty struck people across the globe will suffer immensely with no protection from the deadly cold this winter.

Providing life saving items like food, blankets, adequate heating and fuel could be a lifeline to many struggling men, women, families and children across the globe.

Countries such as Yemen, Syria, Palestine and Kashmir are a few places on earth whereby suffering from poverty, persecution & war is a daily occurrence in the lives of many. In addition to this facing a cold winter without adequate shelter, clothing or heating is a terrifying combination leaving many fearful for their survival. 

Thousands of families have also been forced to flee from their homes to neighbouring countries, as a result around 70 million people now remain displaced many of whom are either homeless or reside in makeshift tents made from cloth providing very little protection in the winter. 

With no job opportunities or income they are forced to survive on the little food they have and walk miles every day to get access to basic necessities such as water. limited access to medication also means they are at a high risk of losing their lives to conditions such as pneumonia, hypothermia and starvation this winter. 

Giving the gift of a winter blanket, warm clothing or some food may not seem like much, but this small gift has the potential to protect a life all winter long. 

Millions of people now in places like Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Kashmir and around the world are eagerly waiting on your action of generosity to make a real difference this winter. Without your support they may not make it through these cold winter months.

Our teams on the ground have already delivered life saving winter supplies such as socks, blankets, clothing, tents, bedding & food to suffering families in Kashmir, many of whom have lost everything including their homes following the devestating earthquake last year.

Over the previous year our teams have also conducted numerous other charitable relief projects across the globe in regions such as Africa, Asia & the Middle East making a real difference to communities in urgent need.

The Harsh Reality

As the peak of winter now unfolds and temperatures start to plummet, thousands of Palestinians many of whom are homeless will have to face a harsh winter without adequate protection from the cold.

Currently 8.4 million people in Yemen still do not know where they will get their next meal from. Without essential nutrition and protection this winter, many suffering families and children will struggle to survive.

With the current crisis in Syria around 13 million people (6 million of whom are children), require immediate emergency humanitarian assistance. Lacking access to the basic items required for their survival they now require your support to help them through this cold winter. 

Temperatures in the Kashmir region of South East Asia can often plummet to dangerous levels in the winter. Many Kashmiris already suffer from contestant war, displacement and extreme poverty on a daily basis. Winter adds to the crisis as many do not have access to the basic necessities required to survive a harsh winter.

Temperatures in the mountainous regions of Pakistan regularly drop well below freezing in the winter season. Many residing in these regions suffer from extreme poverty and have to walk miles across dangerous terrain everyday in search of food and water. Without adequate clothing, heating and food their lives are in grave danger this winter, your support can help provide the protection they need.

Muslim Relief is a Non-profit organisation based and registered in the United Kingdom. Our mission consists of saving lives, particularly in instances of emergency, despair and severe hardship.

Our organisation operates in many countries globally. We focus on a variety of projects such as providing emergency food, shelter, medical aid, organising mass feedings, supporting orphan & widow care, providing education, supplying clean water & much more.

We are not by any means a pressure based charity, in most cases we allow donators to choose the amount most affordable to them. No donation is too big or small, we make every penny count.

At Muslim Relief we have a multi-focus approach, we carefully plan & execute each project in an effective manner. Every project varies however we try and reach out to the maximum amount of poor and needy people. 

Our projects are usually a combination of emergency aid and other actions including providing short and long term poverty relief in order to sustain those who are most in need.
