We’re walking for a better-connected West Lothian

On Sunday 13 September 2026, members, volunteers and supporters of West Lothian 50+ Network will take part in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk as Team 50+.

We are walking to raise £2,000 to support our work with older people across West Lothian.

Why your support matters

For many people, getting older can bring changes in health, confidence, mobility and social connections. Bereavement, retirement and reduced access to transport can also leave people feeling increasingly isolated.

West Lothian 50+ Network creates opportunities for people to meet others, stay active, try new activities and remain involved in their communities.

We currently support hundreds of members through social groups, exercise classes, day trips, events, volunteering opportunities and community activities across West Lothian.

What your donation will support

Every donation will help us continue providing accessible and affordable opportunities for older people across West Lothian.

Funds raised could help us:

launch and support new local groups

keep activities affordable

reduce transport and participation barriers

support volunteers who lead activities

provide welcoming spaces where people can meet and connect

reach people who may be isolated or unsure where to turn
