**UPDATE MAY 2026** We have successfully raised enough funds to complete the refurbishment of the children's playground!!! The Craigmyle Glebe Limited is a charity based in Woldingham which provides sports and recreational facilities for the local community to enjoy.

One of the most popular and frequently used facilities that The Glebe provides is the children’s playground. The playground was last improved over 12 years ago. The playground is now in desperate need of a complete refurbishment and we are seeking your help with this.

The project will be completed in three phases:

The first phase is to improve the existing equipment and the most urgent re-surfacing needs. This work was completed in October 2024.

The second phase is to install some exciting new equipment! Depending on our progress with fundraising, we hope to be able to complete this in the Summer of 2025. We have been busy fundraising in the local community and applying for grants from various sources and these funds have been reflected on this page. We have not yet reached our fundraising target for phase two, so we still need your help!

The third phase will focus on improving accessibility to the playground so that those with mobility challenges, or users of prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs (and scooters!), can more easily access the playground. We would also like to introduce some adult gym equipment in the area just outside the playground space so that older children and adults can also enjoy some fresh air and exercise for free!

The children's playground is an essential community space that welcomes all and promotes positive well-being. Children benefit from fresh air, exercise, improved gross motor skills and social skills, and they can make new friends. Parents and guardians can also benefit from the fresh air and enjoy being able to meet other people and families in the community.
