Wolvercote Primary School PTA are fundraising for an exciting new library space at the school.
As the school has grown, the old library space has become cramped and difficult to use for teachers and children. It is inconveniently situated in a corridor and doesn't offer the best environment to encourage book selection or reading.
The new library will be in its own dedicated room – formerly called the IT room, or the Snug. The room will be newly decorated and specially designed shelving will be installed.
The new library will have space for more books, and for children to choose books and read them. The shelving will encourage browsing and make it easier for children to find books to suit their interests and reading level. It will have seating areas and spaces for children to read.
Money raised through fundraising will go towards improved shelving, display options, furniture and new books selected by teachers and requested by children.
