Story

Worcester Cathedral has received initial support for a £1.2m National Lottery grant to conserve and bring into use for the first time, the 12th century Undercroft to College Hall to create a unique and historic venue to facilitate learning, arts and heritage for the whole community.

The Cathedral needs to raise £500,000 in matched funding to unlock the second stage grant of £1m. This means that every donation made to this project will be trebled in value by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

About the charity

Worcester Cathedral is a welcoming and vibrant community and an architectural treasure. It costs £7,500 per day to maintain and we receive no statutory state funding. Admission into the Cathedral is free and it is open every day of the year. Please help us to continue this.
