What is Work A Day?

On Friday 28th June, people all over Sheffield and beyond will be taking part in Work A Day for Cavendish. Simply do your days work as normal, and donate your days wages to Cavendish Cancer Care. It's an easy way to make a big difference and what better way to boost that Friday feeling than to know you're helping local people?

All you need to do to take part is go to work as normal on Friday 28th June, and donate your day's earnings either before or after the day. Work A Day is perfect for busy bees, who don't have the time to run a marathon or organise an elaborate event! Whatever your career, you and your workplace can get involved.

You can be assured that all of your donation goes directly towards care for those living with cancer - the fees we pay to JustGiving work out cheaper than a standard card transaction fee!

Who We Are

Cavendish Cancer Care provides physical and emotional support to those living with cancer and their loved ones. We offer a range of complimentary therapies to choose from such as acupuncture, massage and hypnotherapy. We have also designed a special children and young peoples service to support under-18's.

Anyone affected by the impact of cancer, included family and carers, can access our packages of support free of charge. In 2018, we supported 1,245 cancer patients, 416 carers, and 44 young people. But we only receive enough NHS funding to keep our doors open for two weeks, so we can't continue or work without the generosity of the public.
