WDEF is an charity set up by friends, colleagues and family of the late Workneh Dechasa to fundraise to build a school in his memory. It will be built on land donated by his family near Guder, Oromia, Ethiopia. in cooperation with a local charity and education authorities there.

Story

Workneh Dechasa Education Foundation is a registered charity made up of family, friends and colleagues of the late Workneh Dechasa. The foundation has been set up to raise funds to build an elementary school in his memory on land donated by his family in his home village Malkaa Dhagaa-Gudar (Guder), Oromia, Ethiopia, support Oromo families in the diaspora and improve educational opportunities in rural communities in the Oromia region.
